At CashCo Pawn Shops, we participated in some amazing events during 2016.
But hands down, the most meaningful, joyful and inspiring were those that focused on giving back to the San Diego neighborhoods that have embraced us: City Heights, Encanto and Escondido.
Life, for us, is a shared experience. We believe in serving our communities on many levels. Not just through our pawn shop services, but by the very real ways in which we provide fun, excitement, and support.
For those who missed them, here´s a recap of the most wonderful moments we shared with our clients, neighbors and friends last year:
Romantic Dinner Giveaway. On February, we were happy to play Cupid to three lucky couples, who got to enjoy a romantic dinner on us! You didn´t even need to purchase anything to enter this raffle. The images of the lovebirds enjoying a sunset dinner made all of us go aaaaaawwww!
Breast Cancer Screening. One of the most appreciated “giving-back” events was our Free Breast Cancer Screening event back in October. CashCo teamed up with the Wesupportu San Diego Organization to provide free mammograms to anyone who registered. This amazing organization parked their mobile screening center in the parking lot of our City Heights pawn shop, and while all of us ladies waited for our turn, we shared time together. This event was entirely nonprofit. In our book, preventive health is the best way of giving back!
Gift Cards on Us and We Pay Your Bills. At CashCo, we understand that sometimes, paying for utility bills and even groceries can seem daunting. That´s why each month we organize a contest or raffle to help aid the economy of the winner. We Pay Your Bills (in which we pay a utility bill for a winner each month), and Gift Cards on Us (where the winner gets a gift card to pay for groceries), are our way of saying: #cashcocares. Mother´s Day Makeover. Moms rock! So in May, we enlisted our friends from Posh Salon-SPA to treat 6 lucky moms to a complete makeover: haircut, manicure, pedicure, and hair color! The idea was to pamper these ladies, who do so much for their families. Since dads deserve some goodies as well, on June each of our 3 CashCo Pawn Shops in San Diego raffled a huge BBQ grill for the Father´s Day Grill Giveaway. It was so cool to see these hardworking guys get their prizes!
Thanksgiving Meal Baskets. One of the most treasured traditions here at CashCo is our Turkey Meal Giveaway. In December, each or our pawn shops in San Diego raffled meal baskets containing the ingredients to prepare an awesome Thanksgiving dinner: Turkey, cranberry, gravy, the works!!!
12 Days from CashCo Raffle. Starting on December 1st, and for 12 days in a row, each of our locations gave away a fantastic prize: flat-screen TVs, Fitbits, tool-kits, you name it! Just another way to spread holiday joy!
As you can see, “paying forward” is in our DNA, it is our core. That´s why we give MUCH more.
